I bought my Canon Rebel XS (EOS 1000D) in 2007 for $499 CAD which included a 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS kit lens.
Despite having taken this camera on trips before, such as to Bosnia, Croatia and Costa Rica, it wasn’t until my recent year-long trip around the world when I started getting a feel of how take better pictures. For that, I have to give much credit to a photographer friend I met while traveling.
It turns out that it was me, and not my budget DSLR camera who was responsible for the poorly composed photos I had been taking the last four years. What an empowering realization.
Hope you enjoy the photos I post on World Daily Photo.
